The Mission: Remove weeds that compete for nutrients while cleaning up the overall look
This garden is a special one to our school. It is dedicated to a student that was lost in a car accident, and keeping this garden healthy and free of weeds is important to us.
Weeds in unwanted places can have a number of effects. They can act similarly to an invasive species, competing with other plants for food and sunlight, and sometimes they will even choke out other plants. On top of that, most of the time they just don't look very pretty. In this project we removed the weeds while trimming at the bushes to allow for the plants we want to grow, while making the garden look good at the same time. We made sure to pull out the weeds at the root, preventing them from growing back in future years.
